Mary Berry Fruit Salad is a classic British-style fruit salad made with a careful mix of fresh, seasonal fruits. Ingredients

  • Strawberries – 250 g, hulled and halved

  • Bananas – 2 medium, sliced

  • Apple or pear – 1 medium, cored and diced

  • Seedless grapes – 150 g, halved

  • Orange or mandarin – 1 large, peeled and segmented

  • Fresh lemon or orange juice – 1½ tablespoons

  • Honey or icing sugar – 1–2 teaspoons (optional, to taste)

  • Fresh mint leaves – 1 tablespoon, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the fruit – Wash, peel, and cut all fruit into even, bite-sized pieces.

  • Prevent browning – Toss apples and bananas with the citrus juice straight away.
